Jeannette Martinez

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

AMFT #157080

Jeannette brings years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through her roles in education and as a developing therapist. She holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fresno Pacific University. Having witnessed the effects of generational trauma firsthand, Jeannette has a deep understanding of the complexity of family systems, and the far-reaching impact trauma can have—on individuals, families, relationships, communities, and even entire neighborhoods across generations. She believes that change begins when someone has the courage to break free from unhealthy generational patterns, negative thought processes, and maladaptive behaviors. Jeannette believes in the inherent worth of every individual and the capacity for growth and change. She holds the perspective that being human means making mistakes—but our past does not define us. What matters most is the willingness to reflect, take accountability, grow, and move forward with intention and hope. In addition to her work with families, Jeannette has a heart for individuals navigating grief, depression, anxiety, spiritual uncertainty, and complex family dynamics. She understands the profound pain that comes with loss and the often-nonlinear journey of healing.

Jeannette’s therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, and spiritual care, all within a compassionate, client-centered framework. With sincere care and a dedication to truly being present, Jeannette aims to create a safe, supportive therapeutic environment where clients can navigate life’s challenges and begin to find renewed hope. She meets clients where they are—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually—offering consistent support and encouragement as they pursue healing, clarity, and restoration.

Jeannette believes that a renewed mind, nurtured daily, offers the strength to weather life’s storms. She encourages clients to view emotions as tools for growth—rather than burdens that keep them feeling stuck. At the same time, she understands that healing is an integrated process involving not only emotions but also family systems, relationships, behavioral patterns, logical thinking, and personal values. By bringing together all these elements, Jeannette supports clients in developing the skills and insight needed to navigate life’s challenges independently, with the goal of reconnecting to a healthy and supportive community and making meaningful choices on their path toward healing and growth.
