Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Chao is a 1st generation Hmong American, born and raised in Fresno. She graduated from Fresno State with a bachelor’s degree and continued her education at Alliant International University, where she earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Chao is passionate about working with a diverse population, including individuals, children, youth, families, and couples, recognizing the challenges many face in accessing therapy and mental health services.
As a culturally competent therapist, Chao is attuned to the unique needs within the mental health landscape, and she is dedicated to helping clients sustain their overall well-being and personal growth. She employs a range of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Chao provides therapy in both English and Hmong, offering a bilingual and culturally sensitive approach to support her clients’ journey toward healing.
