Shanell Gridiron

Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

APCC #9602

Hello, my name is Shanell Gridiron, and I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor dedicated to walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and pursue emotional healing and personal growth. I am deeply passionate about supporting others through their therapeutic journey—helping them move from a place of simply surviving to a space where they can truly thrive.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued. My approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and respect, allowing individuals to explore their experiences at their own pace while building resilience and a greater sense of self-awareness.

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix, and my clinical work is rooted in a client-centered framework. This means that I prioritize your unique needs, strengths, and goals, tailoring each session to support your healing in a way that feels both meaningful and empowering.

I utilize a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Care, and Solution-Focused Therapy. These approaches are designed to help you develop practical coping strategies, process difficult emotions, gain insight into patterns of thought and behavior, and ultimately cultivate lasting positive change.

Above all, I am committed to building a strong therapeutic alliance—working in partnership with you to navigate life’s difficulties, uncover your inner strengths, and foster personal transformation. I believe in the power of healing and in each person’s ability to create a life filled with purpose, resilience, and fulfillment.
