
Shanise Lewis

Shanise was born in Santa Clara, CA, and was raised in San Jose, CA. She later
moved to Fresno, CA, where she attended Fresno City College and Fresno Pacific
University, earning her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology. Shanise grew up passionate about serving underserved and marginalized populations due to her professional and personal experiences. She later obtained her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary.
Shanise has experience working with children, teenagers, adults, and elders with
diverse backgrounds and cultures. She also has experience working with couples
and families. Shanise has experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder,
Anxiety, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar I/II Disorder, Foster/Adoptive youth,
and Grief.
Shanise works from a non-directive and trauma-informed lens utilizing systemic,
expressive, and behavioral modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art
Therapy, Family Systems, Internal Family Systems, Attachment, Play Therapy,
and Narrative Therapy. She also has experience with providing an integrative
approach to incorporate psychological principles with faith-based principles.
Shanise is trained in Emotion Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization
Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and the FLASH Technique.
